For 80 years, the Fulbright Program has connected people across cultures, built international understanding, and inspired generations of leaders. On Saturday, August 1, Fulbright alumni around the world will celebrate this milestone by stepping away from their desks and into their communities for the Fulbright Association Global Day of Service.
The Greater Los Angeles Chapter invites Fulbright alumni, Association members, friends, and guests to join us in demonstrating that the Fulbright experience extends far beyond scholarships and exchange – it is a lifelong commitment to service, leadership, and strengthening our communities.
Whether you’ve been looking for an opportunity to reconnect with the chapter, meet fellow Fulbrighters, or simply give back, this is the perfect time to get involved. Just a few hours of your day can make a meaningful difference while celebrating a milestone shared by Fulbright communities around the world.

Hope the Mission – Food Scarcity Outreach

Help prepare meals and support one of Los Angeles’ leading organizations serving individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
Pathways LA – Community Back-to-School Fair
🎈 Friendship Auditorium, 3201 Riverside Drive, Los Angeles, CA
⏰ 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Support local children and families as they prepare for the upcoming school year through a community resource and back-to-school celebration.

Additional details—including parking information, arrival instructions, waiver requirements, and other event logistics—will be emailed to confirmed volunteers. We also encourage participants to wear a Fulbright T-shirt for group photos and to help celebrate Fulbright’s 80th anniversary.
