Fulbright Greater Los Angeles hosted An Evening with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at Walt Disney Concert Hall, bringing together Fulbright alumni and friends for a memorable night of music, conversation, and cultural exchange.
The evening centered on a Los Angeles Philharmonic performance featuring works by Rachmaninoff and Szymanowski, conducted by Lorenzo Viotti with internationally acclaimed violinist Lisa Batiashvili. The program highlighted globally celebrated composers and artists, reflecting Fulbright’s commitment to international dialogue and artistic exchange through culture.
Prior to the performance, attendees gathered informally for conversation and community-building, creating opportunities for Fulbrighters across generations and disciplines to connect in a relaxed setting before the concert. The event offered participants a shared experience at one of Los Angeles’s premier cultural institutions while strengthening ties within the Fulbright community.
By helping make the event accessible to a broad range of alumni, the gathering advanced Fulbright Greater Los Angeles’s goals of fostering inclusion, promoting cross-cultural programming, and deepening alumni engagement through the chapter’s ongoing Cultural Event Series.
